FAQs

Do I need a referral to see you?
No you don’t. You can access Kid Psychology services as a private client, however your child may be eligible for a Medicare rebate for particular referral reasons. Discuss this with your GP or Medicare to find out more.
My child is an agency-managed NDIS participant, can they see you?
I am not a registered NDIS provider, so I can only see children who are self-managed or plan-managed through NDIS.
How long will it take for assessment results to come back?
The assessment process is lengthy and involves interviews, completing checklists and the assessment administration itself. Sometimes contact with your child’s school is an important part of this process and this can also contribute to the time taken in this process. All of this will be discussed with you during the initial appointment and you will be kept updated throughout the process.
